You must be 16+ to enroll or have parental consent. You agree to provide accurate information and respect academic integrity.

Use of Materials

Course content is licensed for personal learning only. Redistribution requires permission.

Payments & Refunds

Refunds are available up to 7 days before the course start date. Taxes are calculated based on your province.

Code of Conduct

• Respect peers and instructors.
• No harassment or discrimination.
• Follow Canadian laws and campus policies.

Accounts & Access

You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for all activities under your account. Do not share login details. We may suspend or revoke access if suspicious activity is detected.

Intellectual Property

All text, videos, graphics, assessments, and downloadable assets are the intellectual property of Plucorlum Journalism Academy or its licensors. You receive a non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use materials for personal study. Commercial use, public posting, re-uploading, or derivative distribution is prohibited without written permission.

User Content

By submitting assignments, comments, or projects, you grant us a limited license to host and display that content within the learning environment for educational purposes. You represent that you have the necessary rights to the content you submit and that it does not infringe third-party rights.

Prohibited Uses

• Circumventing paywalls, DRM, or access controls.
• Cheating, plagiarism, or unauthorized collaboration.
• Uploading malware, scraping content, or attempting to overload our systems.
• Impersonation or misrepresentation of identity, credentials, or affiliations.

Privacy & Data

We collect and process personal information to provide services, improve learning outcomes, and comply with applicable laws. We apply reasonable security measures, but no method of transmission is 100% secure. Your use of the service implies consent to data processing in Canada.

Third-Party Tools

We may integrate video hosting, payment processors, or analytics providers. Their use is subject to their own terms and privacy practices. We are not responsible for outages or acts of third-party services.

Certificates & Outcomes

Completion certificates, where offered, reflect course participation and assessment outcomes and do not guarantee employment or accreditation beyond what is explicitly stated.

Disclaimers

The service and all materials are provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim all warranties to the maximum extent permitted by law, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Plucorlum Journalism Academy will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenues, data, or goodwill. Our aggregate liability for claims relating to the services will not exceed the amount you paid for the course giving rise to the claim in the 12 months preceding the incident.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Plucorlum Journalism Academy and its instructors from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses arising from your misuse of the services or violation of these Terms.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms or unlawful behaviour. Upon termination, your right to access the courses ceases, and licenses granted to you will terminate, except where retention is required by law.

Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in British Columbia, Canada.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will apply prospectively. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with any course-specific policies referenced at purchase, constitute the entire agreement between you and Plucorlum Journalism Academy regarding the services.
